Nostalgia aside... are we back?

After 11 long years, we’re back. Or are we? That’s the question we’re addressing today on the heels of EA’s NCAA Football 25 release. The hype was and remains undeniable—the old school community around the series is was known for its almost cult like level of passion and intensity.
That would be the college football effect, I’d wager. There’s not a sport that incites more fervor than college football, and the fans of the old games always brought that same level of obsession.
So, as you can imagine, EA’s announcement of the series return back in 2021 reignited that now dormant yet hungry group. Boys that had once lived and breathed the game were now men soon to be afforded the same opportunity.
There are few things more cathartic for an adult than to connect with a relic of your childhood. It’s a phone call on a far off morning from a long lost yet never forgotten friend. And for millions, that friend just happened to be the college football gaming series.
After 11 long years, the boys are back in college town… or are they? Without further ado, let’s get into it: does this game delivery on the lofty expectations?
